Culture Boxes

The Exchange Coordinator manages the Culture Box Program which was started in 1993 in partnership with Tulsa Global Alliance and Eisenhower International School (EIS). The boxes are housed at EIS and can be checked out by any group or organization on a two-week basis.

Teachers across the state agree that Culture Boxes promote critical thinking, as well as avenues of visual, auditory, and tactile learners. They provide teachers with an educational tool, and many boxes contain a curriculum to aid in classroom presentations.

The Culture Boxes are provided to all Tulsa Public School classrooms for free. All other users are charged a $15 fee per box to help with box maintenance. Download a request form here or call 918-746-9106 and speak with the Exchange Coordinator who will assist you with checking out your requested culture box.

More information about the collections may be found on the website of the Tulsa Global Alliance (Culture Box program). Last year, libraries, schools, camps, scout troops checked the boxes out serving over 6000 people.
