Music Programs

Music at Eisenhower

We use the Orff Schulwerk approach to teach music at Eisenhower. In this method students develop their creativity through singing, dancing, playing Orff instruments and recorders. The Orff method allows students to accompany themselves as well as create through improvisation.
Students in 3rd through 5th grade may join an after school Orff ensemble. This is an honor group that prepares special programs and studies a more difficult repertoire.
Students in 4th and 5th grade may join the Eisenhower band & strings which meets after school one day per week. These students prepare a concert for the end of the year. The students meet in a group setting one day per week. All of these services are free of charge.
