Emily Wood

Emily Wood, former Eisenhower Exchange Coordinator, has a long history of organizing student exchanges. She has conducted sixteen exchanges at Eisenhower International School with schools in Tulsa’s Sister Cities, San Luis Potosi, Mexico and Amiens. France. She has visited the schools in both cities many times. Previous exchange experience included Directing Booker T. Washington High School’s AFS Exchange Experience and serving as a chaperone for high school students in Japan. Long active in Tulsa Global Alliance, she has hosted innumerable international visitors and has enjoyed adult exchanges and home stays in six of Tulsa’s sister Cities.

Mrs. Wood also manages a Culture Box Program which she started sixteen years ago in partnership with the Tulsa Global Alliance. A full list of the 45 countries represented with collections may be found on the website of the Tulsa Global Alliance (Culture Box). Last year, libraries, schools, camps, scout troops checked the boxes out serving over 6000 people.
