March
Parents,
I recently attended a professional development program offered by All Kinds of Minds. The goal of the Schools Attuned program is to help teachers understand students’ unique learning strengths and weaknesses and provide us with the specialized knowledge, tools, and skills we need to help frustrated students break through barriers to success – and reclaim the joy in learning.
Based on these new skills, you may hear me – and your child – use some new words that are based on a neurodevelopmental framework of learning, see me trying new ways of teaching, and experience changes in your child’s work.
Below, I’ve included a brief overview of some of what I learned. I have also provided a link to the Parent Toolkit, a part of the All Kinds of Minds website designed specifically for parents. I encourage you to use this resource as an educational tool for you and your student.

Please contact me if you have any questions. I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about my experience and this program.
