Erika Bolivar has been selected as the 2024-2025 Eisenhower International Teacher of the Year!
Erika is an intervention teacher in Eisenhower's Learning Lab where she provides academic support to small groups of students. This is her sixth year at Eisenhower.
"My time in Tulsa Public Schools has been an enriching and transformative experience," said Erika. "One of the things I have enjoyed most is the opportunity to interact with parents and children from diverse cultures and backgrounds. I have loved learning from them, hearing their stories, and sharing their experiences. This has allowed me to create a comfortable and welcoming learning environment where everyone feels valued and respected."
"I have also learned a lot about the importance of collaboration and teamwork. At Tulsa Public Schools, I have had the opportunity to work with a team of passionate and dedicated professionals who share my commitment to high-quality education. Together, we have worked to create a learning environment that is inclusive, equitable, and rigorous."
Outside of work, Erika enjoys going to hockey games, playing sports, and spending time with her family. She is also very excited that her first granddaughter will be born this spring.
