The following garments/clothing are approved to wear at EIS per Board Policy 2601-R: Student Dress Code.
TOPS:
All tops must be plain (no designs or logos) in white, navy blue, or light blue. The following is a list of permissible tops:
- Collared shirt/dresses (polo style)
- Sweaters
- Sweatshirts (Hoodies are acceptable. Hoods may not be worn in school.)
- Zip-up Jackets
- Vests
- EIS T-shirts or sweatshirts
BOTTOMS:
All bottoms must be plain (no designs or logos) in navy blue, khaki, or gray. The following is a list of permissible bottoms:
- Slacks/pants (no sweatpants or jeans)
- Shorts
- Skirts
- Jumpers
Leggings may be worn under skirts, shorts, or jumpers. Leggings may not be worn as pants.
Gym shorts need to be worn under skirts and jumpers.
Shorts, skorts, skirts, and jumpers should be of a modest length (fingertip length).
SHOES:
Closed toe shoes with backs required, athletic shoes preferred for running, playing, and PE.
When wearing snow/rain boots to school, students must bring school-appropriate shoes to wear inside. Snow/rain boots will be stored in the student’s locker.
The following footwear are NOT allowed:
- Flip flops
- Boots
- Crocs
- Sandals
- Roller skate shoes
- Light-up shoes
Permitted garments shall be clean, in good repair, and shall have no holes worn through, slashes or rips.
Students who arrive out of uniform will be sent to the nurse’s office for a change of clothes. A note will be sent home with your child to inform you.
